Judy Rifka is a post-modernist artist who fully emerged in the early 1980s, when she started to introduce figuration and narrative allusions into her work. She was an early innovator of mixed-media / shaped canvases in the Neo-Expressionist movement. Her paintings often contain outlined images of places and figures, full of movement and placement and energy.
